As generative AI tools become a staple in modern software development, Ox Security has raised $60 million in Series B funding to address the growing risks in AI-generated code. The investment round, led by DTCP and supported by major players like IBM Ventures, Microsoft, Swisscom Ventures, Evolution Equity Partners, and Team8, pushes the startup’s total funding to $94 million.

Founded in 2021 by Neatsun Ziv and Lior Arzi, Ox Security operates out of New York and Tel Aviv. The co-founders, both former Check Point engineers, designed the platform to secure code across the software development lifecycle—whether written by humans or AI.

Protecting Code in the AI Era

Ox’s platform helps developers and security teams scan applications for vulnerabilities, flag risks in the software supply chain, and provide actionable fixes. It also supports executive-level reporting, helping organizations understand breaches and identify causes.

“AI is transforming development at breakneck speed,” said CEO Neatsun Ziv. “While AI accelerates coding, it lacks the ability to recognize subtle security risks. That’s where Ox comes in—our tools improve security while allowing developers to focus on building.”

The platform currently analyzes over 100 million lines of code daily for around 200 clients. These include major companies such as eToro, SoFi, and its own investors Microsoft and IBM. Ox’s customer base spans from small businesses to Fortune 10 firms, as well as military and federal government agencies.

Revenue Growth and Market Ambitions

The funding comes at a time of rapid growth. Ox is generating approximately $10 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), and Ziv expects that figure to double by the end of 2025. The startup now employs 150 people and is targeting profitability within the next two to three years.

“With this capital, we can accelerate our expansion, hire top talent, and capture greater market share,” Ziv said. “We’ve received strong interest and offers from investors, and we believe now is the right time to scale.”

Rising Competition in the Secure Coding Space

Ox faces tough competition from established players like Snyk, Veracode, Synopsys, and Checkmarx. However, Ziv believes Ox’s unique focus on AI-generated code gives it a competitive edge.

As enterprises adopt generative AI tools for code generation—often referred to as “vibe coding”—security gaps are widening. AI may produce functional code, but it frequently lacks secure coding practices. Ox helps bridge that gap by catching issues early and offering remediation advice.

“Security needs to evolve alongside development,” Ziv noted. “Developers can’t afford to slow down. Our goal is to make it easy for them to stay secure without compromising speed.”

The Future of Secure Development

The investment positions Ox Security to expand its presence and stay ahead of emerging threats tied to generative AI. Ziv emphasized that the company’s vision is long-term and rooted in helping developers build securely in an AI-driven future.

“Our technology reduces risk at scale,” Ziv said. “We’re committed to empowering developers while giving CISOs the insights they need to safeguard their organizations.”

With a growing customer base and backing from some of the biggest names in tech, Ox Security is set to play a major role in the future of secure software development.
