Cast AI has secured $108 million in Series C funding, pushing its valuation to $850 million and edging closer to unicorn status. The round was led by G2 Venture Partners and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, with backing from big names like Aglaé Ventures, Hedosophia, and Creandum. This fresh capital boosts Cast AI’s total funding to over $180 million, reinforcing its role as a frontrunner in cloud optimization.

The funding will accelerate development of Cast AI’s Application Performance Automation (APA) platform. Designed to automate and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure, the APA platform helps companies cut costs while enhancing performance. CEO Yuri Frayman described the raise as “fuel for our continued expansion of a category we created.” CTO Leon Kuperman added that enterprise needs are shifting from static dashboards to dynamic automation that improves continuously.

Although Cast AI is officially headquartered in Miami, its core product and engineering teams are based in Vilnius. This Lithuanian presence places the company among other global tech successes from the region, such as Vinted and Revolut. With new offices recently opened in India and Singapore, Cast AI’s international expansion is well underway.

Automating the Cloud with Precision and Speed

Founded in 2019, Cast AI has grown into a key player in Kubernetes automation. It addresses a pressing challenge in cloud computing: massive resource waste. Most cloud environments use just 10% of CPU power and 23% of memory, leading to high costs. Cast AI’s automation closes that gap, enabling smarter and leaner operations.

The core of the platform is APA—technology that goes beyond monitoring. It uses machine learning to analyze clusters in real-time and implement cost-saving changes automatically. One of the latest tools, the AI Enabler, helps route AI queries to the most efficient models. This tool is especially valuable for companies running expensive large language models (LLMs) and GPU-intensive workloads.

The company’s innovation is already delivering results. Cast AI now serves over 2,100 organizations, doubling its customer base from the previous year. Big clients like Akamai, BMW, HuggingFace, and FICO report major gains. Akamai cut cloud costs by up to 70% and boosted developer productivity. OpenX, which manages over 200,000 CPUs globally, recommends Cast AI to any business struggling with cloud efficiency.

Cast AI’s platform includes several standout features. “Spot Fallback” allows businesses to use cheaper spot instances without service interruptions. If spot capacity disappears, the system automatically shifts to on-demand instances. Another smart feature lets the platform choose unexpected yet cost-effective instance types—such as high-performance ML options—based on temporary pricing trends.

Its bin packing technology ensures better resource distribution, while autoscaling adjusts capacity to meet real-time demand. Cast AI also supports major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, which helps prevent vendor lock-in and gives users more flexibility.

With 200 employees worldwide and a mission to automate the cloud, Cast AI is quickly becoming a household name in enterprise tech. The company’s ability to drive performance and reduce expenses positions it as a key player in the age of AI-driven cloud computing.

Lithuania’s Rising Star in Tech

Despite being based in the U.S., Cast AI’s Lithuanian foundation remains strong. Most of its development happens in Vilnius, contributing significantly to the country’s growing tech scene. Lithuania has already produced unicorns such as Flo Health and Vinted, and Cast AI could be next in line.

As businesses ramp up cloud and AI investments, Cast AI’s platform is in the right place at the right time. The company’s growth reflects broader industry trends—where automation, efficiency, and cost control are no longer optional, but essential.

With this new funding and international momentum, Cast AI is not just a unicorn contender—it’s a sign of Lithuania’s rising impact on global tech innovation.
